Big news for gamers: Sony is officially moving further into the digital future. According to Tom’s Hardware, Sony plans to stop producing physical PlayStation game discs starting in January 2028. New PlayStation games after that will be sold in digital formats only. Sony is also beginning the process of shutting down PlayStation Store access for older systems like the PS3 and PS Vita.
